Ringside sports photographer Carlos Baeza captures the image of fighters such as Oscar De La Hoya and legend Alexis Arguello. He is the official photographer of the World Boxing Hall of Fame working diligently to present true champions and tough competitors to the world.
Carlos was born in Mexico City, settling with his family in Los Angeles, California at the age of 10. He developed a love for animals at a young age, adopting pets like raccoons, wild birds and many dogs.
Carlos attended Cypress College in the eighties where he mastered black and white fine art photography, admiring the beauty in the work of Ansel Adams' landscapes. In the studio Carlos developed his advertising style for product photography, using lighting and placement skills to expand his visual techniques on film. A boxing fan since a very young age, he's been documenting every aspect of the sport for over twenty years.
Carlos has also explored parts of Europe, traveling off the beaten path to Poland and bringing home images filled with the emotions of the people and mysteries of a foreign land.
Carlos served as Oscar De La Hoya's personal photographer in the early 2000's, as well as future boxing superstar Francisco 'Panchito' Bojado
He now lives in Huntington Beach, California.
A fun-loving grandfather of four he divides his time between his coastal home and a cabin in Big Bear Lake. He is currently very busy doing freelance work.
